Hello

I am trying to assist my Mom. She ran Avast on April 24 and allowed it to remove threats/addons - she is not positive on what was removed, thinks it was something called “Flips”. Ever since, Internet Explorer will not work properly for her. I am trying to assist her from a distance so wondering if anyone has some tips or what may have happened upon the Avast changes (which is where the problem started). Thanks so much.

Are you sure it was Flips and not Flip ?

Did she run the Browser Cleanup Util (BCU) ?
If so please attach the BCU log to your next post so we can have a look.

What problems does she have with IE ?
What OS/SP ?
What exact version of avast ?
Any other security (related) software installed ? (or did she had)
