AVAST ARE TURN OFF! why??

and i get a message,avast are not ON… i dont know how i can sync it with xp pro… avast works,but i get this error message ? what can i do?

We will need more information to be able to help you:

  • Is your XP up to date?
  • What avast! version and VPS file (virus database) number?
  • Which actions have you taken to try solving the problem?
  • Do you use a firewall? Which one?
  • Do you have any other antivirus installed in your system?
  • Any other security programs that could interfere?
  • Any useful information into Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Events, specially ‘Errors’.

Is this the Windows Security Center reporting that avast isn’t ON ?

What avast processes are running, they begin with ash or asw, see image ?
Do you have the avast icon on the system tray ?
