avast asks for a password that I have never set up

Hi,

I have never choose a password to avast and now it is asking for it all the time, it begun with the avast password acount which I’ve never had configure and now I can’t uninstall, I can’t do anything!
I only wanted to run the antivirus and check if everything is ok.
Please help!

that’s strange. have you tried just to press enter (keep the field empty) ?

  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

The free version, this last update and the others before (like 2 or 3 versions before this last one)
64 bits
I dont know what is sp and build?
I have never had other av before avast, since i bought the computer, and it was new.
I always could use avast and do all the things it can do, but now I can’t even open it, or remove it or something…
