I received an email on 2 November advising my subscription had been renewed automatically. My bank statement showed the money had been paid out on 4 November.
On 7 November, my account was cancelled: nothing since but pop-ups from Avast saying my protection had expired and I needed to renew. This was so irritating - adding insult to injury as I knew I’d renewed and paid for it - that I uninstalled the program.
I put in a complaint ticket on Friday, 7 November. Confirmation of receipt from Avast stated this had been designated ‘urgent’ and I would therefore receive a reply within 24 hours. That was last Friday. It is now the following Tuesday … and I am still waiting.
I issued another ticket today, this time requesting a full refund.
This is like Dickens’s Circumlocution Office. It is incredibly frustrating, and I am very anxious about the money as I am a pensioner on a very low, fixed income.
Anybody help/advise, please?
As explained many times, creating a new ticket/changing a existing one will put you back at the bottom of the stack.
