avast! AV Pro 2014 vs ESET NOD32 7

If you had a license for both, which one would you use?

I have a license for both and am currently using avast! AV Pro for the first time. Never had experience with it before

According to AV Comparatives they are both on the same level of detection rates:

AV-Comparatives - Real World Tests

What I like about avast! is that it has a program update checker so you no longer have to worry about running outdated apps and go around manually looking for updates which ESET’s NOD32 doesn’t have. It also has a built in website tracking blocker which again, NOD32 doesn’t have

I like the features, I like the GUI

But just because I’ve used NOD32 for more than 7 years in the past, I am asking this question to you guys maybe someone may shed some light on something I may have not known.

avast! also feels very light, I am torn between the two to be honest

The only answer you’re going to receive on the avast forum is Avast of course

Don’t forget that tests performed with avast are only done on the free version.

I understand this is an avast! forum and I am an avast! user now, I hope I can get some unbiased and fair answers

You have already mentioned several good points and benefits of using avast yourself, is that not enough ???

I test many AV’s but avast always remains my main protection on live systems ( that’s unbiased ;D )

ok to be more specific:

you’re right, just wanted some assurance I guess

Sometime it’s best to follow what your gut is already telling you, I personally don’t ask for opinions from others regarding matters such as what you are asking as the only true judgement can come from your own personal testing and making sure the product suites your needs.

you’re very right! thanks man

Your welcome

The other point, since avast 2014 was just released yesterday, there would be no comparison on AV-Comparatives that used avast 2014. So there can be no direct comparison.
