Avast base64 issue

Does avast Mail scanner have a problem in decoding mails encoded using Base64?

Please reply & help me out.

i’m running avast4mail-2.0.1 ; avast4server-3.0.1-i586 & libavastengine-4.7.1-i586 on Fedora Core 3 .Email sent to my domain is received by this server and forwarded to my pop server.

prob is mails being sent in from Blackberry and Lotus notes Version “Lotus Notes Release 6.5.4” with encoding set to “Base64” come to my mailbox garbled (all messed up) . All other mails come in without a problem.
