Avast behavior shield disabled at startup

The Avast behavior shield is always disabled at system startup on my laptop and I have to enable it manually everytime because it doesn’t start automatically at a later time.
The OS installed on my PC is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and the version of Avast I have is 17.8.2318 (build 17.8.3705.249).
Please, can someone help me to find the solution that allows the Avast behavior shield to be automatically turned on at startup??
Thanks in advance.

It’s a known problem that happens on some systems and not on others.
If you’re interested in helping Avast get to the bottom of this, follow this:

Just happened to me too, for the first time (installed Avast again a couple of months ago, after using a different, paid anti-virus); I happened to glance down at the icon and saw the ‘!’ symbol, clicked and there you go, randomly off. Not sure how long it was like it for; presumably since start-up today.

They don’t really seem to have properly pinned down this issue, have they?

Persisting the problem for such long time, and probably related to the excessive number of concurrent processes at system startup ( in the particular case of Windows 7 users with heavy load of other 3rd party programs at startup ) would not be the case for AVAST in future releases to provide a POSTPHONE Startup option so as to allow Behavior Shield to be enabled after some selectable amount of time choosen by the user …

Since MANUALLY the process can ALWAYS be Started by the user, its not any kind of incompatibility of the Behavior Shield itself with any Operating System, but more a case of Excessive Startup of OTHER processes at the same time during startup, that might be leading Behaviour Shield to sometimes not beeing able to [ Automatically ] turn ON at every start.

So I indicate the addition of a [ Configuration ] Option on future releases of AVAST, so as to allow the user the control of the Amount of time to POSTPHONE automatic startup of Behavior Shield as a viable and Paliative solution to the problem.

Some SMART programs like CrystalDiskInfo offers such Startup POSTPHONING option so as to prevent the inability to StartUp the program due to excessive load at system startup.

Just for reference in my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bits, I have installed Advanced System Care from IOBit, and some other stuff like IOBit Uninstaller and Driver Booster, and removed IOBit Malware fighter to see if by such would alleviate some of the startup load, which after the installation of IOBit products has surelly Increased the overall Load time for my system, requiring some minutes to fully estabilize without the 100% of Disk Load at the first 2 or 3 minutes after startup.

Hope to have provided Valuable Directions towards future Improvement of AVAST

@ Prof R,
Since installing the latest Beta version, I’ve not experience the problem with
the Behavior Shield not starting. Hopefully that means the problem has been addressed
and the next regular update should also reflect this “fix”.
