Hey guys,
I have this new version of an exe file which i need to give to some people so they can use it instead of the old version, but I know these people are not professionals and it would be painful to guide each and every one of them to extract the file and replace the old one with the new one … So, I thought about making an executable rar file which will give me the privilege to replace the file in the correct path by a couple of clicks only, and I did so before so easily, but now I’m facing this problem in which avast! is detecting the file as a threat and blocking it in Windows 8.1 (technically the same will happen with Windows 7 and Windows 8 I believe) while avast! is detecting it as a safe and clean file and it allows me to use it smoothly on Windows XP!
Why is this happen? and what’s the solution to fix this problem?
During avast! DeepScreen, I get this error message:
Are you using the same version of avast on W8 and XP?
With exact I mean not only the type (free, pro, IS etc), but also the version number (2014.9.0.2011)
