Avast blocked Skype "Add contact" function.

Hi everyone.
When I try to add new contact in Skype I receive massage That There is a problem and Skype need to close. When I remove Avast from my system (Windows XP) I don’t have this problem, but when I install Avast after that it happened again.
Is somebody having any suggestions how to solve this problem?

I found that the problem is in the script shield of Avast. When I turn it off Skype is working fine.
Greetings

I’m running Avast Free v 6.0.1289 and skype v5.5.32.117 on O/S windows 7

A few days ago I got “skype home unavailable”, not able to “add contacts” and “says i don’t have an active internet connection” in skype. - however I can make and receive calls without issue.

I’ve followed skype’s instructions to fully remove the software and then completely reinstall it - i still have the same issue. All software is set to automatically update so that the 2011 Vaio laptop remains current.

Is this due to Avast? … which monitoring option in avast manages VOIP?
???

I don’t think it can be related. avast free is an antivirus only and should block any Skype action.
Which is your firewall?

Try this - avastUI, Real-Time Shields, Web Shield, Expert Settings and check the ‘Scan traffic from well-known browser processes only,’ see image (click to expand)
