Avast blocking a URL of a pdf file in a website

Hi,

I received an email for a job and there were links in this email for testing. A URL on the website (pdf file) comes up as a threat and Avast blocked it. I have researched this a little bit and some people say it’s ok anyway. I do not believe this necessarily. I also read they can be blacklisted, but do not know what this means pertaining to a link. Could someone help me here? I can send a screen shot of what it says if needed.

Thanks!

Known bad URLs usually end up on a blacklist
I can send a screen shot of what it says if needed.
That sure would help

Best to attach screenshot.

Here’s the screenshot! Hope someone can help me it’s for a job. They say it’s safe, I don’t think it is.

URL:mal = Blacklisted URL

PDF:UrlMal-inf [Trj] = pdf.doc that contain link to a blacklisted URL

Link seems to go to a website log in so strange that it say PDF:xxxxxx
