I had two customers call up today trying to use our CAD/CAM software for programming their CNC equipment and the software would no longer start up. They were both using Avast Antivirus and had been using it for a while. The only way to get the CAD/CAM software to run was to uninstall Avast.
I downloaded Avast and same thing. I added the program to the Exceptions under Ransomware and also under Exceptions using advanced options. The program is called IGEMS (www.igems.se). Screenshots attached.
