Avast Blocking Google Keep

Hi all, long time Avast Free user, never had any issues. This just started today, whenever I try to access Google Keep on my desktop, I get this pop-up warning from Avast. The site will continually try to refresh but it looks like it’s prevented from doing so by Avast so it never fully loads. My desktop is Windows 10 Home, I mainly use Chrome, but I tried with Edge and it does the same thing. I tried on my laptop which runs Windows 11 and there were no issues.

I see someone else posted with the same exact issue today, https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=320440.0

Please help!

just posted on that too.

for now i added https://.google.com/ to the exception list and at least the site is working now.

Thanks, adding " https://.google.com/ to the exception list " stopped this issue for me as well.

Reporting a Possible False Positive File or Website - https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php.
You should get a response in a day or two.

The url you give would need to be closer to those in the alerts (such as pa.clients6.google.com/notes/) for the virus labs team to investigate and correct if truly an FP. I would also suggest giving a link back to this topic as it has more information than you could put in the remarks window.

Thanks that seems to have fixed the issue!

It hasn’t really fixed anything just avoided it, you really need to report it as I suggested to really get it fixed (assuming it is a false positive).

Closing your eye to a problem, doesn’t make the problem go away, it just hides it.

They appear to have fixed the issue, Keep now works without the exception in place.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Hi,

This was a False Positive.
