Can someone help me- Suddenly getting this msg below blocking my web search and it is really doing my head in.
Your subscription has ended - OK didn’t know I was subscribed…then
Renew Your subscription
to which I get:
There is no application set to open the URL avastsl://renew.
etc etc does’t work
so…
Search the App Store for an application that can open this document, or choose an existing application on your computer.

Originally (2 days ago) I removed Avast with CleanMyMac3 but the VPN or whatever still kept on blocking my searches.
So… I try to re-download Avast so I can change settings (stop pop up stuff as recommended by forum msgs) but still same nag message.
Finally I create a new account with avast and get their emails thru etc and try to download Avast (free/ Mac) via email and it prevents me again.
“Your subscription has ended” - etc ………I know, I have been told!
So catch 22 -. can anyone help?
