Avast has set my network as public/high risk but it isn’t giving me access to the internet. I’ve called twice, each time they want to sell me on a service provided to clean my computer. I know this is not the issue but no one is really listening to me. Can you please help?
What exact version of avast ?
What exact OS/SP ?
Any other security (related) software installed ? (or did you)
How is the network setup ?
Windows 8.1
Avast version 150531-1
Program version 2015.10.2.2218
No other security on my computer
Not sure how network is set up
Which version of Avast ??? Free, Pro, Internet Suite etc.
Not sure how network is set upIt is your network. Why don't you know how the setup is ?
Not sure who you are but back it off. It is a network set up that I didn’t do. Make sense?

scroll down to Farbar recovery Scan Tool … run as instructed and attach the two diagnostic logs
Hi you Annabelle2,
Next to doing what Pondus advice is,
know that it is the Avast Network Scan alerting, now you could try and get the insecurity confirmed via this scan:

Not as revealing as the Avast console network scan, but good for a quick and dirty. Tell us what it finds?
polonus
The network I’m having the issue on is at work and it wont allow me to run those programs. I know it’s a setting in Avast because I use it 5 days a week and it never had an issue until I purchased Avast internet security. I connect to a medical facility so it’s pretty locked down except for approved websites. I can’t even get to that now.
I know it's a setting in Avast because I use it 5 days a week and it never had an issue until I purchased Avast internet security.what AV did you use before avast? did you uninstall it before installing avast?
I was using Avast free edition.
The network I'm having the issue on is at work and it wont allow me to run those programs.can you do it from home?
So it’s obviously the Avast Firewall Module that needs to be adjusted.
No problem at home
That is correct Bob. Avast isn’t happy that I bought their software and now wants to charge me almost $200 when I know for a fact it’s a setting and not an issue with my laptop.
then run the diagnostic tool from home and attach the two logs
You’re talking about the third party support. Not something I or any of the other volunteers here would recommend.
Not sure who you are but back it off. It is a network set up that I didn't do. Make sense? No, that doesn't make any sense at all. It is your network and it doesn't matter if you have set it up or someone else. It still is your network and you should know how it is setup.
