AVAST blocking programs and white listing

Hello,

We are creating a company that develops software as part of its activities.
This software will be available for download from a website.

We have experienced problems with false positives in the past, and this time we develop in a more “standard” way, that is VB NET to try to get rid of antiviruses problems.

To my surprise, problems with antiviruses are still there. It is not like AVAST detects viruses or anything. Now it is clearly blocking every single programs developed in VB NT without showing any message.
If the programs are declared as exceptions, they work fine. We also have experienced strange behaviours with AVAST DEEPSCREEN.

Obviously, We cannot say to users “If you want to make this software work, you must set the right parameters in your antivirus”.

I would like to know if it exists a procedure to somehow get my software “white listed”, and get rid definitively of these problems (even if we must send a request for each version of each .exe).
If such a procedure exists, I would like to know also if it is a generic one for all or most of the antiviruses, or if I must request it separately for each ANTIVIRUS.

I know that what we are doing is very common. There are thousands of companies that develop software for downloading, and I cannot believe that my company will be ruined just because of this.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,
Pedro Pérez Romero

One thing that already will help is signing your files.

A second thing you can do is not using the VB compiler from MS, e.g. VB Powerwrap.
I’ve seen several posts where avast detect things, make them not work etc when using the MS compiler.

I think this is a programming issue so you could open a ‘Support Ticket’ and explain in detail
There may be others with added information/direction.
Contact Avast support:

Thank you very much,

I don’t think it is possible to compile wpf programs with tools other than from Microsoft.

I will try the other options, to sign digitally my files and I will open an AVAST SUPPORT. I didn’t actually know if this is the correct place to write.

Thank you again,

You’re welcome.
