Avast blocking random facebook voice clips because of URL-Mal infection

Hey, guys! I’ve been expiriencing no problems with avast until this one. But I’m quite not sure if it’s an actual infection or just a false positive result. However, the thing is, that I’m getting random voice clips from only one person I’m chatting with on facebook blocked because of URL-Mal infections. I don’t know if I should be worried about it so I’m asking for information here. Could that be a problem or a real infection coming from the device of the user I’m chatting with or is it just something on facebook’s side that avast considers an infection? And is it something many people are expiriencing as well? Any kind of information about the possibilities around that are helpful. Thanks!

URL:Mal = IP and/or domain is blocked

So does that mean there is nothing to be worried about or is it something on the side of some of the both devices from which is being chatted at the moment of the alert?

It means there is or was malicious activity detected on that IP/Domain.
You can use the links to the online scanners (see my signature) to find out more.

Тhe strange thing for me here is that the URL address is basically a voice clip from facebook. And I’m actually wondering if it’s something on their side or on the user’s side and his device is somehow compromited and infected, so we should make some checks and so on. I’m not really common so I don’t know if I should be worried about it.

What is the URL blocked … should be displayed on the Avast block popup, you may post a screenshot

I can post the whole link if needed, but that’s the screen. I’ve checked out the link itself and it’s just a normal voice clip link from facebook.
That happens with like 3 out of 100 messages, fully randomly just somewhen. It’s quite strange and I don’t know how I should react to that, since I’m not very common with the stuff that actually happen when such a voice clip get’s uploaded and what avast basically considers as an “infection”. Could be something pretty simple tho, that’s why I’m asking you. Thanks!
Guys, I’d really love to receive some information from someone who’s more common with the functioning of the program as soon as possible

Guys, I’d really like to know what’s going on but I can’t find any certain information about it. We’ve run a couple of security checks on the other device, but everything seemed to be alright… I jus want to know where I should point my interest at and where the problem could be… Highly appreciated!

Ticket sent. I’m still expecting any kind of useful information tho and am ready to provide what needed of my side to help solve this problem. I’m really thankful to anybody who would try to share his knowledge with me in that situation.

No answer has been received yet.

Be patient, it may take a few days.

The support tetrieved an eimail saying it was some kind of infection on the browser of the device:
“It seems that the issue is probably caused by infection on the web browser. I’d recommend performing a thorough cleanup following the steps below.
(Note: it is important to backup all your important files and programs before commencing the cleanup)”
The following instructions were about a PC tho, the device which uses the account is a mobile smartphone so I would just want to ask you if a simple reset to the factory settings would do the trick with removing all the suspicious add-ons and apps and all the things that are being changed in the browser while it was used before the reset. I don’t know if there is some kind of mobile support from avast, but I’ll ensure to check that too. Any kinds of advices and suggestions are welcome. Thanks to all!

follow instructions here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
we need Malwarebytes and Farbar Recovery Scan Tool logs, attach the logs, 3 logs total

see below the box you write in … Attachments and other options

a malware expert will then assist you when online

The device is a phone, so I’m quite sure those programs couldn’t run on it

I cant see that mentioned in any post above! ... or am i missing something?

I had mentioned this above here. Anywyas, that’s the whole point

Could you try updating Avast to see if the issue persists?

I think it’s updating itself automatically and I accept that when the program asks me to. Well, there are the last message is still getting blocked.

Could you try restarting the shields?
