Avast blocking steam updates

Hi Guys, I am experiencing an issue with steam updating, I go to steam and steam updates however it seems the updater is being actively blocked by AVAST.

I have reinstalled steam however it seems AVAST has frozen the application, Steam now says “downloading update” and is stuck…Not good.

Reinstalling Avast

You have provided only the IP. That IP shows more than one domain.
Please provide the URL. Make it dormant by using hxxp and “not” http.

Not to worry, Reinstalled Avast and now its not being blocked.
