I have had Avast free version for years with no problems, but the latest version blocks my Facebook backgammon site. Apparently, the new Avast problem is quite widespread and people suggest different solutions. None of them worked for me, so presently I am using an older version of Avast with no problems.
Is there a more sophisticated solution?

What a terrific advice! Avast changes to a new version and my problem (and others’ also) starts and I need an expert. Thanx a bunch.
Have you un-ticked block social sites in the settings of Avast Online Security ( Browser Plugin ) ?
It is part of the social networking in AOS
Disable the addon in IE, FF
Love it. No plugin, no problem.
Thanx, Essexboy.
And craigb, thanx also.
