I am a blogger who switched to Avast after using Kaspersky for more than 4 years. After installing Avast I noticed that it blocks the Adsense ads in my blogs. I disabled the Avast ad-don/extension on both browsers (Internet Explorer/Chrome) but this did not help.
By any chance have AdBlock Plus installed? This offers privacy protection as well these days.
BTW: Avast is no adblocker, it only blocks malicious ads that rever to harmful sites/malware/scareware.
Any change chance we could get an example url of one of your blogs to double check?
Hi propheticus,
Thank you for the prompt reply,

I haven’t installed any Ad blockers.

There’s no problem when the site is viewed with the portable versions of Chrome and Firefox, (www.yoshlk.com)

I checked the same URLs in my 2 laptops which also run Avast, and ads appear without any issue, meaning you are correct.
As a last resolution I will try re installing Chrome and report back.
There appears to be some issues…http://zulu.zscaler.com/submission/show/12f7ee5c7969b65c7215bd708c48dbb9-1386598983
However on several other online scanners failed to show anything malicious.
Here the online security plugin is blocking doubleclick ad-tracking, but disabling it does enable me to see the ads. Odd that this does not work for you. Is your Avast version up-to-date? (20014.9.0.2008)
Regarding web page “http://www.gocek.org/godpoll/default.aspx”.
I am running Avast Free 2014.9.0.2011 under Windows 8.1. The page shows AdSense ads correctly in MSIE 11 when the Avast add-on is enabled or disabled.
Firefox 26.0 does NOT show the ads when the add-on is enabled, “avast! Online Security 9.0.2011.70”. Firefox shows the ads when the Avast add-on is disabled.
For some reason Chrome Version “31.0.1650.63 m” does not have the add-on. For all three browsers, I use very few add-ons. My problem seems to be with Firefox when the Avast add-on is enabled.
