Avast blocks any network when l2tp vpn is actived on windows 8.

The internet service in my school is based on l2tp VPN,and I can access the LAN when VPN is not actived.

But after I dialed the VPN connection, Avast will block my access to any network,include the LAN.Turn off the Firewall does not take effort.

And,when I try to uninstall avast, BSOD will sometimes comes.

Yes, I also disabled the Windows Firewall

You could try a clean reinstall:

  1. Download avast! Internet Security: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

Better now…??

No.I’ve tried it on a wholly new and clean system.But stiil everything is blocked.

Thanks.And the same issue sometimes comes up when I access the Internet via PPPOE.

For both L2TP VPN and PPPOE,there is not any problem in Win7,with the same version of avast and the same ISP.It seems only appeared on win8
