Avast blocks game developers official game patch - false positive?

Hi,

I tried to download an official game patch released by the games developer. It’s compination of bug patch and an dosbox-installer, since the game a) has a bug needed to be fixed and b) is pretty old and doesn’t work under Windows 7 without patch. The patch is released on the game developers official website. Still avast is blocking the download, claiming to have found a virus (or suspecting the exe-file to be a virus).

Since the .exe-file is released on the game developers official website I cannot believe there’s actually a virus in the file. But how can I be sure ? Is there a way to verify if this is a false-positive? And is there a way to prevent avast from blocking this?
