Since yesterday Avast blocks connections to all my Gmail Accounts.
I’m using Thunderbird.
I’ve tried two things (1) disable the mail agent (2) just disable SSL scanning : each solution makes my connections work again.
Both Thunderbird and Avast were working until yesterday.
Avast version is : 20.8.2432 (version 20.8.5684.604) updated on October 7th
And DB version is : 201105-6 (updated today)
Thunderbird has not been updated recently…
What kind of change can lead to such issue ?
I disable the mail agent to get my mails from my distincts GMail accounts, and set it back after, but I don’t think this is a right solution…
I’m using the TB 78.4.0 since the last update, and without any problem.
I’ve already seen this post, and tyring the suggested solutions :
I’ve checked the TB’s certificates, and the Avast one seems to be up to date and valid I’ve replaced it with last exported to be sure, but it doesn’t fix the issue.
I’ve tried changing the TLS level in TB, but nothing : Google’s servers seem to handle the right security level, and it doesn’t change Avast blocking behavior.
The authentication mode and connection protocol in my opinion doesn’t matter since GMail works perfectly when Avast allows the connections.
