Avast blocks internet use when on my college campus using their network

Like the title says Avast (premium subscription) blocks internet use while I am on campus using the school’s secure network. I can turn the Real Site/DNS protection off and it will work for a short period of time. Then the connection gets slow followed by stopping altogether again. If use the school’s “guest” network everything works fine. This does not happen at home nor does my phone have issues with the school’s secure network as it does not have Avast installed. After working with the school’s IT department, we have narrowed it down to Avast. Does anyone know what can be done?

Did that. Same issue.

  1. Enable debug logging (Menu > Settings > General > Troubleshooting > Enable debug logging) and reproduce the issue.
  2. Follow instructions: https://support.avast.com/article/33/ and post the File-ID or name of the Support-File here afterwards.
