avast blocks jbridge dropbox file from downloading

A file used to assist with digital audio workstations (jbridge, allowing 32-bit plugins to be used with a 64-bit application) is being blocked from downloading. I added the url’s to the exception list, to no avail. How to clear this up to allow the download? Avast claims that Win32:Evo-gen is contained within, but the site and software are well noted and used by many without any problems.

You can report a false positive here:

Great, thanks for the info! Posted.

Now you can just wait. 8)

Hello!

I am the developer of jBridge, I was just told that this was happening. :frowning:

To double check, I tested a copy of the demo I had in my harddrive a few months ago and it’s also being detected as a virus.

The files that I have uploaded haven’t been modified in months, so everything indicates that this is a false positive ( I also emailed Avast’s staff about it ).

By the way, if I extract the zip file and scan it, it comes clean in Avast.

I think we can safely conclude this is a false positive, but I’ll wait for Avast’s staff input.

I tried today, and was able to download 1.5
