Avast blocks uTorrent installer - Other:Malware-gen [Trj]

Hi all,

When attempting to download the uTorrent installer, which as far as I know should be safe, it’s the torrents that are risky, not the uTorrent client/installer itself (right?), I get this message:

Is anyone able to help me out? Is this a false positive?
Other information: this is for Mac, the uTorrent download was for Mac and of course so is my Avast program. Also, my Avast virus definitions are up to date.

seems the file comes bundled with Spigot adware crap > http://www.thesafemac.com/arg-spigot/

Other information: this is for Mac, the uTorrent download was for Mac and of course so is my Avast program.

So, it’s not actually a trojan, but instead potentially some adware? Seems safe to proceed if I downloaded it and removed the Spigot adware afterwards, correct?
