Avast Blocks Windows7

have Avast for a long time since the Wind XP.
Now I use Windows7 - 64Bit and from one month to here I am having problems starting the windows blocks the experience did you uninstall Avast and everything returned to normal ok please can you help me what is. :-\ :-\

Windows7 blocks on startup, after several experiments uninstalled Avast and from that moment ceased to block … I did experience is two times I installed and uninstalled avast and always had avast installed windows7 startup blocked …
I think of my poor English I explained what is happening :cry:

  • Which avast!..?? (Free/Pro/IS)
  • Which version…??
  • OS…?? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP…?)
  • Other security related software installed…??
  • Which AV did you use before avast!..??

64 bit - Windows7
Only Avast was installed
Never used other AV if not avast

  1. Download avast! Internet Security: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (For all prior installed versions.)
  3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

I was experiencing the same problems, I could not activate Avast and I could not access the internet. I tried the recommendations above and reinstalling fixed the activate Avast bottom … it started normally but no internet. It was blocking it. When I uninstall Avast the internet would work then I’d reinstall and nothing. I’ve been using Avast for over 10 years and I am disappointed big time. I have purchased the Pro version in December and I have the Pro on 3 laptops … but it does not work on 1 which is a windows 7, 64 bit. It worked prior to the latest update and it works now but I won’t have internet…big time disappointed. I have now uninstalled it and install an alternative anti-virus. I have never had this problem with avast…ever. :frowning:

The strange thing is the other laptops with the Pro version are also windows 7, 64 bit … doesn’t make any sense.
