avast board changeover - account lockout

I now appear to be locked completely out of my old forum account. I can’t get in.

The old forum account and my avast account use the same email. The avast account credentials appear to have overridden the old forum account credentials. I tried changing the email in my avast account to something else, then deleting the previous one. That just resulted in “unknown user” errors when logging into the forum.

I can’t change this forum account’s displayed name to match my old one (NiveusLuna) because, surprise surprise, that displayed name is taken. But I can’t fix that because I am unable to access my old account.

Fix, please.

TBH, if they just delete my old account, that would be fine with me. Mission accomplished: can now use preferred name.

What was your old screen name ?
This is the displayed name that people will see in the forums.

The only issue I foresee would relate to your my.avast.com avast account, to have two forum accounts your forum logon presumably would be different ?
You couldn’t logon to two separate forum accounts from the same avast account.

Found it, you’ve 27 posts on the old account.
We can remove it for you, but only the admin can merge your accounts.
