Avast found a virus while i did a boot time scan of whole system…
it showed an zipped file with .exe as win32:agent-ajgc(pup)
i clicked 7 (ignore) and then scanned the same file after logging in,
but avast said no threat found…
Why is this and wat must i do??
First, the (PUP) is Potentially Unwanted Program and not all scans are set to look for PUPs. It looks like the boot-time scan does, but whatever scan you did doesn’t check for PUPs by default.
What was the other scan that you did ?
e.g. Quick, Full Scan, Folder select, etc.
Submit the file to www.virustotal.com and post back the results.
