Avast Broke Autocad / Can't run System Restore

I installed Avast about a week ago. Windows 7 64 bit.
After restarting, my AutoCad programs no longer open (get appcrash). I have tried a million things to fix them to no avail. Including uninstalling Avast and running the cleanup tool.

Trying to run system update, and I can’t. I get an error that says there may be an antivirus software running. Which there is not, because I uninstalled and wiped it.

I have lost DAYS of work time over this issue and I am furious. Is there any way to fix this without wiping my computer (which I don’t have time to do right now??)

Do u try repair?
Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

Did you repair/install Autocad again after removing avast ?
