avast! Browser Cleanup Tool

When I started the add-on, I received the following message:

I clicked on the Complete clean-up button I saw the following:

My default Home Page is the New Tabs page in Chrome
My default search is Chrome ???
Neither one is an option - The cleanup is hijacking my default settings :o
Please fix this problem.

(The reason for the original message is because I refused to delete the chrome protection.)

This is going to be 3rd time that I’m uninstalling Browser Cleanup Tool,but this time I am not going to install it again.
I am tired of false positives and I said it before that rating system based on Avast community is just stupid.
I am experienced user and I know which add-ons are safe.
Also,now BCT has become homepage and search engine hijacker.I am done with BCT.

I’ve heard back from Avast. They have found the problem and the latest update seems to have fixed the Yahoo problem:

Great! I’ve simply ignored this issue in the past, as I know all extensions and add-ons running here are clean and safe to use.

Ignoring a problem doesn’t make it go away nor does it fix the problem…
Developers also can’t fix a problem you simply ignore. They need to know about it first in order to fix it.
