Avast Build 11.2.2262 will not turn on protection!

I just installed the latest version Avast 11.2.2262 and the protection will not turn on!:frowning:

I keep clicking Resolve All and also Start Now and it’s not working!

Windows 10 insider preview 14332

I take it you mean ‘Protection’ not Protraction, if so can you change the Topics Subject. Click the Modify icon in your first post and change the Subject.

I even completely uninstalled and reinstalled and Avast 11.2.2262 protection will not turn on.

Did you remove any preinstalled av before installing avast?
And why are you using a preview version of Windows and not a final version?

Why do some install beta programs?

Works in my 14332 version of window 10… I had to reboot after the install for windows to get its’ act together

Because I am a Windows insider and help fix bugs

I restarted my computer again and finally Avast protection is on again. However It took extra long for Avast to appear in the system tray.

I think avast needs to be more compatible with Windows 10’s latest insider builds.

So the issue here I think is Avast starts up to slow on the latest Windows 10 insider previews.

Superman1975,
thanks for the report. We are aware of issues with latest insider previews. The fix (internal issue ID AV-9977) did not make it into the 11.2.2262, however is already present in our internal versions and will be part of the next public beta.

great thanks for the info

I am having a similar problem. The Web Shield not stay enabled.
What I’ve tried:
[ol]- Restarting the service: System and Maintenance > Administrative Tools > Services > Avast Antivirus > Restart the service

  • Repairing the program through Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features … Change > Repair
  • Uninstall Avast in Windows Safe Mode using Avast removal tool (avastclear.exe) followed by a clean fresh install of Avast 11.2.2262[/ol]

OS is Windows Vista and no other AV software is installed.

I’m not sure what else to do.

Thank you.
