Hi,

Avast Business Antivirus version 20.9 has just been released, December 1, 2020.

Release Summary

This release contains new improvements and bug fixes to our Avast Business Antivirus client.
Avast Business Antivirus 20.9 will be available for new installations straight away. All existing devices with Avast Business Antivirus 20.8 or lower will start the automatic upgrade to 20.9 at a later time.
If you wish to upgrade your devices to 20.9 prior to the automatic upgrade, then you can create a new Task (Update device –Program update task) from your console.
A system reboot will be required to complete the installation. There will be no forced reboot unless you have set this in your device policy settings. Servers will never reboot, regardless of your device policy settings.

Improvements
• More versatile Password Protection - Along with Chrome and Opera, we now support Microsoft Edge and Avast Secure Browser
• Performance Improvements - Your antivirus components should now load even faster thanks to the simultaneous loading of our main service and VPS

Resolved issues

• Moved Do Not Disturbmodule to separate “tools” service for better performance
• Minoraccessibilityadjustments (e.g., added tray shortcuts, improved confirmation dialogs when disabling shields, etc.)
• Fixed minor bug so Behavior Shield doesn’t duplicate detections already covered by File Shield
• Fixed a rare case where Firewall would trigger an ask dialog for already stopped processes
• Fixed a rare case where switching languages could fail
• Optimized scanning of QUIC connections

After upgrading to version 20.9 all computers in our domain (including server) are reporting error Protection components disabled in on-premise console. Restarts and reinstalls does not help. On computers themselves I see, that all components are enabled and functional.

same here, all updated clients are shown red with Protection components disabled

Agreed 100% - That’s why we have everything set to manual.

I wish all these dot releases didn’t require restarts. It winds up being a huge process for servers/vm’s/etc that are in production. Scale down all these releases and go back to quarterly instead of monthly.

Где поддержка на русском языке?
Был нормальный АБСОЛЮТНО рабочий антивирус для серверов. Сделали какое-то убожество, которое ТРЕБУЕТ ПЕРЕЗАГРУЗКИ сервера КАЖДЫЙ день после обновления баз!!!
Обновление баз требует перезагрузки сервера!!!
Это что? Ноу-хау в антивирусной технологии? Avast for Windows File Server за все время использования (почти 5 лет) попросил перезагрузить сервер ВСЕГО 3 раза! А этот за одни сутки (24 часа) уже дважды требовал перезагрузки.
