Avast Business Antivirus 21.8

Release Summary

This release contains new improvements and bug fixes to our Avast Business Antivirus client.

The new version of Avast Business Antivirus will be available for new installations immediately. All existing devices will start the automatic upgrade to this version at a later time.

If you wish to upgrade your devices to this version prior to the automatic upgrade, you can create a new Task (Update device – Program update task) from your console.

A system reboot will be required to complete the installation. There will be no forced reboot, unless you have set this in your device policy settings. Servers will never reboot, regardless of your device policy settings.

  • New Avast logo - Updated Avast logo following new Avast Business branding.
  • Improved exceptions — You can now add exceptions solely for Behavior Shield.
  • Improved Password Protection — Your newly created password-backup files in your browser are now protected, too.
  • Firewall tweaks — To better protect your data, we’ll now prevent switching to a public profile when you’re using the Remote Desktop Protocol.

Resolved issues and small improvements

  • Fixed cases where detection dialogs were not shown for detections when apps were full-screen.
  • We’ve updated our UI renderer CEF to the latest version (ver. 4472) and plugged some security holes along the way.
  • Fixed cases where licenses were not properly delivered with sole internet proxy.
  • Fixed an issue where the restart dialog was not shown when Do Not Disturb Mode was active
  • Fixed an issue where clear utility did not start properly for systems that lacked SSE3 support.
  • Fixed a tray-icon bug — You’ll now see the proper status of shields in our system-tray icon after restarting your PC.

After update to 21.8 I cannot access settings with “wrong password” error. Password is correct.

Are you serious? Do they test ANYTHING? This is an egregious oversight.

With the last update, after reboot the devices, all seems to work again. :wink:

On my side I only have 21.8.2670 (version 21.8.6586.693 not 695 and any of agents do not see new available update … I will try to reboot one device to test …

Try to create Update Program task in your console.
