Avast Business Hub 8.20

Hello everyone,

I’m pleased to share with you the news that the new version of Avast Business Hub (8.20) has been released and it brings a new service into our portfolio - Cloud Backup. Please be informed, that the service will be made available on May 13th.
Since that moment, you will be able to try it and most importantly to add another layer of protection when it comes to data loss or corruption.

New Feature(s) & Enhancements

  • New service: Cloud Backup, allowing you to backup your business data.
  • Added minutes in scheduling hourly antivirus scans in Policies.

Resolved issues

  • Fixed an issue when logging in to the Hub with a large number of managed companies in Account Switching.
  • Fixed an issue with assigning service subscriptions to devices.
  • Fixed an issue with remote AV installation from the Devices page after the service was remotely uninstalled.
  • Fixed an issue with manual patch installation from the device detail page.

  • CBC-12938 Stopping task for patch deployment doesn’t work
  • CBC-14264 An error is shown after Remote Deployment
  • CBC-14635 Patch management service installation fails in some cases
  • CBC-15423 An error when trying to subscribe for more devices
  • CBC-15649 Ignoring patches puts them into the wrong category
  • CBC-15703 Cyber Capture cannot be disabled via policy
  • CBC-16152 The com.avast.bcc service is using 98% CPU on some Mac devices

Hello, the Cloud Backup availability will be a little bit delayed because CB installation requires the newest AB agent (4.28) and that is right now gradually being deployed among our install base.
