Avast Business Protection Plus - OmniPass Fingerprint Sensor Issue

Good afternoon,

We have just applied our new Avast Business Protection Plus license to our Fujitsu laptops. After the application and a restart users are reporting that they are no longer able to use their Softex OmniPass fingerprint sensor. The OmniPass application loads, however it is no longer able to scan fingerprints. When we uninstalled Avast on one of the laptops it works fine.

I have added the fingerprint sensor application to the exclusions list, however the problem still persists. Is there a setting in this new version of Avast that is preventing the fingerprint sensor from working? We were using Avast Pro 5.0 before today’s license upgrade.

maybe the software is loaded into a sandbox?
see if disabling the sandbox on that machine helps

Precisely, i agree with WPN advice that you can try to turn off auto-sandbox for each workstation that using this kind application.

Anyway, is there any sandbox pop-up notification during running your application?
