Every new Windows 10 machine I have added in the last 2 days has given me an error that says it is unprotected. When I go to click resolve it says that the online content is not available. The computer is properly connected to the internet. I am able to update definitions and check to make sure that the program is up to date. The device shows as protected in the Avast for Business management portal.
These are clean installs, but an uninstall and reinstall or a repair did not fix the issue.
I’ve been fighting this for 2 days and getting nowhere.

How are you deploying the client program? I’d try using the full installer download (not the online installer download). I find it more reliable than any other means. Download again if you have been using an old installer.
Be sure your PCs are up-to-date with latest patches for both Windows and drivers, particularly network and Intel RST software if installed.
Check, if you are not using the Avast firewall, that your PC firewall is not interfering with communication to the cloud (note the last seen time of the devices in the console are sane).
