avast! Cannot scan the message body. Error Code 80004005

Im getting this error every 30 min’s. Any idea why?

Could you provide some more information please, like:

What is your OS
What version of Avast
Are you using and Mail programs (such as outlook) when these messages appear
Anything else you feel is useful

Also, are you sure that is the exact error message you receive.

Avast Home Version

have you tryed restarting the system, doing a repair of avast.

Are you trying to send mail while then this happen?

Are you using any spam filter?

No good! Cant find anything. Any other suggestions?

Do you mean you couldn’t find anything on google? I did a search on 80004005 and it returns thousands of hits and the first seems very relevant. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q306518

This is pointing to ODBC driver errors, and when we usually hear that in the forums we suggest changing the Database=ODBC to database=XML in the avast4.ini. Check out this thread for lots of options you can set through the avast.ini file. Understanding avast4.ini file

Or use RejZor’s avast! External Control program to change it.

For some reason it still does not work after doing what you guys mentioned and i read the other forums you sent and it still does not work.

Any thoughts?
