Avast can't repair this rootkit malware

My dad got an email from “fedex” about a failed delivery, since he orders stuff from eBay all the time, he thought it was a legit email and opened the attached file. It immediately affected his pc. The good thing is Avast Web Shield keeps blocking the harmful webpage or file. But he gets the popup continuously, they don’t stop.

When I run a scan with Avast, it finds 1 infection (MBR:Cidox-E [Rtk]), but it can never get rid of it. Please help, I’ve attached the logs.

do you have the attachment?

if so, upload and test it here www.virustotal.com if scanned before, click rescan
post link to scan result here

removal team is notified, it may take some time before they are online…

Thanks a lot. I don’t have the infected file. Avast says the name is PARTITION0 or something like that. I’m running another scan so I can get that name.

UPDATE: Avast says the filename is MBR:\.\PHYSICALDRIVE\Partition1, and the status is Threat: MBR:Cidox-E [Rtk]

I'm running another scan so I can get that name.
