myself and a few friends are experiencing blue screen after install Avast. Currently i have had to remove it and gone back to windows defender. It was the newest version of Avast and completely updated. Is there going to be a solution for this as i love the protection of avast
avast! 7 and Windows 8 have worked well together for some time already.
I have the current version of avast! 7 free running on my Windows 8 Enterprise and Windows 8 Pro systems now.
More information about your system and any other security related programs installed might help solve your problem.
I’m running a i7 sandy bridge, with 16 gigs ram. the version i have is avast 7 internet security version and its installed on a 90 solid state drive which is system drive . i have 3 other 1 TB drives for other programs as well as games. I’m running Windows 8 Pro
I have been experiencing crashes with Windows 8 as well.
On a fresh new install, the first thing I installed was Avast! Internet Security. It randomly crashes reporting that aswnet.sys is the culprit. There is no rhyme or reason to the crashes, it just seems to happen randomly. After removing Avast everything seems to be working normally.
Doing a search for that file resulted in other posts on the Avast message board pertaining to other Windows 8 users experiencing the same issue, so I think this is something that merits investigation.
I’ll reinstall Avast, wait for it to cause my system to crash, and then post a link to a system dump for further inspection.
Sorry it took so long to get this crash report i have been working the past few days . So i re installed avast this morning about 1 hour ago, and its crashed again no crash all week with it unistalled . Here is the crash report from whocrashed , also included is the comp description , any help would be good as its happens alot with avast internet security
