Avast caused my TV capture card not working in some program

my TV capture card does not work with some program (eg. DVBViewer, DScaler, MPC-HC)
but only work for some program (TotalMedia, PotPlayer)
temporarily disable avast does not resolve, only uninstall avast all program resume normal.

this problem happen on this weak

Avast free version, i used avast over years

I tried reinstall windows, after installed avast this problem happens immediately

17.3.2291 (build 17.3.3443.0), only installed 4 components (file syatem shield, behavior shield, mail shield, web shield)
Win8.1 64bit
no other security related software installed

Thanks for provide beta version. but unfortunately, this problem still happen in beta version.

(Updated: DVBviewer is worked, but other analog TV player program does not work)

Me too!
I have 2 TV capture cards and 2 HDMI capture cards that do not work properly. But uninstall “avast free” to make it back to normal.

I have this issue too with all my medical device cameras.

Some Japanese users reported similar issues too.

Turning the program to “Passive Mode” should be a workaround to the issue. However, this is simply disabling the program, not resolving the issue. There are multiple threads on this.
