I just had a very strange web page loading issue.
This web site http://forums.comcast.com/ was not loading for me at all so finally just for the heck of it I disabled Avast for 10 minutes and as soon as I did that the web site started loading up nice and fast. And now after re enabling Avast the web site is still loading fast.
Any idea what could have caused this?

In the long run, much safer than disabling the a/v software, even if only for a few seconds. Can be a multitude of reasons for a site not loading, including, and beyond, site down for maintenance (window stating such not yet in place), server issues, DOS attacks, etc.,.
