First of all, Hi everybody. I quite like avast fun approach to the somber & frankly boring area of malware protection. I had been using eset for some time but decided it was time for a change. However I must say that upon default settings nod32 left a much lighter footprint than your SW. Now I am hoping that I simply do not know your sw well enough,missing a key tweak or am running something I can do with out that will speed things up.
FTR-I am running a Dell Studio XPS 1640 laptop. Great machine btw. 4gz ddr3 Ramm, 320 gig 7200 rpm HD. Duo 2 2.6 centrino cores. Bluray slot drive. RGB 16" screen with hdmi out 22" Dell 1080 p monitor. I think that is the relevant stuff.
