I updated my 3 computers through the GUI to avast Internet security version 17.8.2318 on the 10th of November.
Did a smart scan today and found that Avast Cleanup component had been installed . >:(
Did not have this component installed before I updated.
Had to delete component on 3 computers which also meant I had to Restart each computer.
I find this is an appalling practice. I all ready have a paid version of Avast, I don’t want other components installed, which you have to pay for, 
Looks more and more all Avast sees you is a way to make more $
