Hi,
this is the second time, second laptop that Avast Cleanup has disabled and completely deleted my audio driver. No sound.
What can I do to fix this? The usual settings > updating “driver” does not help.

Do you have a backup or a restore point?
I dont now if is related or avast premiun security share code, in my case after latest update a serial card stop detecting a serial mouse, and my sound is very low and choppy at times.
Both problems are reduced/corrected after many unistall, clearing temp and reload drivers.
The only problem wich remain is the mouse is only detected after i made a search for hardware changed in device manager
