I remember a while back like a year or so ago on the forum some people were saying that the avast cleanup causes more issues then it fixes. Is this still the general rule the thumb? I don’t want to run something that would make my computer not work right… what do you guys say,Should i go into avast and remove the feature from my installation or keep it and run it?
Not likely a year or so ago.
avast CleanUp only exists for about 6 months.
It is totally different from GrimeFighter that avast was using before.
GrimeFighter was running on Linux, avast CleanUp runs on Windows and works totally different.
You can run avast CleanUp, but it will only work if you have a license for it.
I ran a scan with it, and it didn’t ask for a license?
You can scan, but it will not cleanup without a license.
