Avast client trying to access Internet but no Internet access

Hi.

We have 100+ Avast clients managed by ADNM. All currently using the same client version. One machine with no Internet access relies on ADNM to be updated. Yet according to the firewall appliance logs, it tries to access the Internet to update [and obviously fails].

Is this normal? Should I reinstall?

Hi

yes its quite normal, first the client will look for its management server, if success update/if fail it looks for another one via broadcast. If it still can’t find one it will then look to the net as a failover. Quite normal.
