I received this email, which shows an ‘Activity Summary’ on top and a screenshot, under it, of topic posts not authorized by me, about 5 mins ago-Why did I receive it?
It’s a “feature” of the new community, enabled by default.
You can stop it via following steps:
- Click your avatar right to three vertical icon (hamburger menu) at the top right
- Click “person” icon at the bottom of the menu
- Go to Preferences => Emails
- Uncheck “When I don’t visit here, send me an email summary of popular topics and replies”
- Click “Save Changes”

… or open all notifications / visit where notifications happened one by one 
I suppose it’s a default design of Discourse, the forum/community CMS software.
I am unable to ‘Dismiss All.’
When I ‘hover’ over it, there is a red circle with a horizontal line through it that 'states ‘Mark All Unread Notifications As Read.’
It is ‘not’ a browser-related issue.
Do you mean, you want to remove all of them from red square?
If so, I don’t know there is any way to do that… “Dismiss all” just removes notification dot from your avatar.
When the Avatar icon is clicked, the list of Nots is displayed and, further, clicking the ‘Bell’ icon shows the ‘Notification tab’ but clicking ‘Dismiss All’ is not possible (on account of the ‘Mark All Unread Notifications As Read’ wording)…
Incidentally, there is no red dot (which, yes, I am familiar with) on or beside the Avatar icon.
