OK, common issue, and at one time, I had fixed it, the issue has since returned.
Every second or so, the notification centre will pop up, telling me Windows Defender and Avast! and Comodo Firewall are all turned off.
I can see quite clearly Avast! and Comodo are both fine. A re-install of Avast! hasn’t helped either. Windows also will occasionsly report Comodo ANTIVIRUS is turned off, I don’t have it, I chose FIREWALL only in the install process, and any search of any AV related to Comodo has found nothing.
Simply follow the old trick of stopping the shields for 10 minutes.
Once they have been stopped, re-enable them and your problem should be history.

Hey Bob, thanks for the input, however, that wasn’t successful the first time, second and now third
Edit: What was the OS on that machine? I’ve noticed going into the metro UI of Windows 8.1 then returning to the desktop makes the spam part stop, but not the X on the flag. (If the flag stays, I;m cool with that!)
Windows 8 when I created the video. I just used it on Windows 8.1 with the latest updates after installing the Avast 2015 (2208)
The x on the Flag is gone after the shields are restarted.
Edit: I am very sorry for the slurred speech, that would be the swollen face and lack of pain killers + Ice. (I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed yesterday)
(Pain killers were taken, but have yet to do anything 20 minutes later)
I hope youre getting well over there. That must hurt.
I had an accident back in school and had such horrible headaches that not even 600 mg Ibuprofen tablets helped. The only thing
more effective is Morphin.
As for getting better. No. The next 2 days after surgery (Today and tomorrow), I was told would be worse, then the pain would go away. So, I have Morphine, T3’s, IBProfun and some other drug. Plus Amoxicillin to avoid any infections.
however, I did find a thread made by someone in Viruses and Worms, that Pondus had replied to. The OP, had been helped by Eddy on how to reset the Action Centre.
