Hi all
I upgraded avast to the latest version and I’m having issues where my laptop wont shut down but does a reboot instead!
My current config is comodo firewall 10 and Avast premier with firewall disabled.
All was well until I did the upgrade, I tried a clean install but as soon as I go to install Avast it crashes after installation.
Remove Comodo and perform a clean installation of the latest avast version.
If that has solved the problem, install Comodo again (if you want)
It seems to have worked for others.
On a note:
There really is no need to have the Comodo firewall if you have avast Premier or Windows 10.
Like I said in another post why remove comodo when avast is the cause of my problem?
Avast and comodo were working fine together until Avast forced me to upgrade to the latest version!
It seems that this forum uses any excuse to avoid the blame.
I have the exact same problem but I can only shutdown using the power button or using hybrid shutdown (classic shell for w10 has this option)
shutting down from the Start menu (or full shutdown) will eventually reboot the machine, several tries, same outcome

I will try to repair avast from control panel. If it doesn’t work. I will perform a clean install
