Avast Config file in Documents folder ???

I currently have Avast 8.0.1483 which I recently installed through the internal updater and is working well.

I just happened to notice this file: free_av_7.0.1474_2013-2-2-_18-15-41.avastconfig 1.87kb
Opens with: aswChLic component

in a Standard User’s Document folder. I did renew my Avast License on that day (I believe I also installed Avast on that date after reinstalling the OS.)

Does anyone know why this file would be in that location, and can I safely delete it?

Yes.

The reason it is there is at some point (2013-2-2) you or someone with access to the system did an avast Settings backup of avast 7 as this is what that file is.
